How to launch benchmarks or functional tests with the Power Test Cloud/Bench
/Cloud?
You can create a job
demandto be handled by the Power Test Bench/Cloud. There are three ways to do that.
Web Interface
On your GREENSPECTOR Web Interface, you can click on Benchmark on the left menu on 'Schedule a Test'. Then -hand menu.
Then, fill the form. In particular, you need to select (or create) an application and a version for in which the measures will be stored. You can then select if you want to test on a computer or on a mobile phone by selecting the environment. If you want to test on mobile phone, you also need to select if whether you want to test a mobile app application (APK) or a website (URL).
When you validate the form, a job is created and put in a queue to be handled added to the queue before being processed by the Power Test Cloud/Bench/Cloud.
Command Line Interface (CLI)
You can use the CLI command (see CLI documentationGREENSPECTOR Command Line Interface (see CLI reference guide for more details).
Continuous Integration
(Jenkins)You can use the Jenkins plugin (see Jenkins Plugin documentationuser the Power Test Cloud/Bench in your continuous integration, either with the GREENSPECTOR CLI (see above) or with the GREENSPECTOR Jenkins Plugin (see /wiki/spaces/DOCUMENTATION/pages/43909140 for more details).
How to consult the results?
On your GREENSPECTOR Web Interface, you can click
Schedule a Test
in on Tests tracking on the left
menu and then on theJobs
Tab. -hand menu.
In this screen, you can follow up the
stateprogress of your
job demandtests. In this version, you have to refresh the page manually
the state of the screenwith the refresh button
onat the top right
above the tables.
When the job
has been handledis finished, you can
seesee in the table Finished if the job
has successfully finished or failed in the tableFinished
. was correctly executed or if there was a failure.
In case of a failure, you can see the reason by flying over the exclamation mark. If the job is finished, you can also see the number of passed functional tests
passed onin the column Tests Passed and click to see the details and the potential errors in the
TestsTest Results
screentab.
You can also directly access the dashboard of your application by clicking on the magnifying glass button.
